I’m looking for a boat to get on for the ‘22 season, preferably one I can look at staying on for a few years as I’m looking to fish for a career and captain my own boat one day.

Looking for a crew for 2022 BB season, are you available? 12/8/2021 02:06:27 pm
Greetings, I'm hoping to get on a boat for this coming season. I don't have any direct experience fishing commercially. however, my cousin was a commercial gillnetter on Lake Michigan and always told me about when he fished in Alaska. I'd love to spend a season fishing in his memory.

I'm looking to get on a boat for the 2022 gill netting season. I don't have any commercial fishing experience. I'm not afraid of physical labor as my current job requires me to work with my hands and move heavy objects all day. I've heard a lot about fishing in Alaska from serval friends that have worked the gill netting seasons in the past.

I am looking to be a greenhorn on a bay boat in the 2022 season. I live in a community where 50% of the people are Bristol Bay fisherman and I’ve grown around that lifestyle for so long I want to get my hands dirty. For what I lack in experience I make up for in drive, hard work and competitive motivation. All my house mates and past house mates have fished for years in the bay, one had captained his own boat and I am eager to get out there for my own season. I am also open to working as a cook for a captain on their boat as well. Feel free to reach out to me via email [email protected] for more information.

Hi there, I’m Gillian. I have spent one summer set netting on Kodiak Island and have some lobstering experience in Maine, where I’m from. I am a farmer and arborist by trade and am used to long days working hard in all sorts of weather conditions. I am looking for a job as a crew member for the 2022 Bristol Bay season. Hello, my name is Fillip Slutsky and I am looking to work on my first fishing boat this 2022 summer. I do not have any prior experience on a fishing boat but do have a decent amount of experience just fishing my local lakes and rivers for trout, salmon, bass, etc... I am very excited about working on a fishing boat and learning tons of new skills related to it. I heard about the fishing boats last year from a friend and became very interested. This year I made a friend from Alaska that told me much more information about how it works and how to get into it. I will be turning 19 years old this April and am looking for a job to both learn more about the fishing industry and also experience a totally new thing than what I am used to working in the summer. The last couple summers I have worked in a bike/ski shop which was really great but I am ready to try something new. Some of my favorite hobbies also include fishing, climbing, mountain biking, skiing, camping, and hiking. I know that this makes things a little more complicated but I am only free starting July and would preferably want to have some free time left over after the fishing season before school starts in mid September.

Hi My name is Kevin. I am looking to be a deckhand for the 2022 Bristol Bay season. Experience wise, I am still pretty green but I've done a Bristol Bay season in 2018, seined in Kodiak for 2012, and set netted in 2009. Other fish related experience is that I've worked on as a fisheries technician for salmon hatcheries on Afognak Island and Juneau (where I'm currently at the moment) for the last 4 years.

Looking for work as a deckhand for the 2022 Bristol Bay season. Planned on gill netting with my cousin off Kodiak this summer but he can't operate his site this year so here I am. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade and routinely work in a machine shop and operate heavy machinery. I have experience sport crabbing in Puget Sound and the San Francisco Bay. Have done a lot of landscaping work, very comfortable with physical labor and long hours. I don't get seasick. Here for something different and excited about the experience. Give me a call:

I'm late to the party but if anybody needs a experienced crew member I'm ready to go. I fished 3 season in SE Alaska on a seiner with 1 season being the deck boss/engineer. Spent 3 seasons crabbing Puget sound. Owned my own crab boat for a short period and crabbed a partial season on the Washington coast for a fill in. Not scared of hard work. I've been out of fishery for a couple years do to family issues but ready for another go at it. I'm 38 don't drink don't do drugs and can be on a boat for months at a time. Can leave at any time.
