I am interested in working as a deckhand up in Bristol bay for the 2021 season. I have no gillnetting experience, but do operate a guide service for trout and salmon in Oregon and in SE AK. I enjoy working long hours that involve everything form boat work to fishing. I know that I am hard working and can guarantee you will not be disappointed in my quality, grit and determination to work. I can be reached at 541-848-7293 or at [email protected] to speak further.

I am eager to work in Bristol Bay in the summer of 2021. I have always been apart of some kind of team, and I think those skills would be greatly appreciated on a crew. I have no past experience with fishing guides/crews, but love to fish in my free time and am a fast learner who would be a great addition to the crew! I love to get my hands dirty for work, am willing to work the long shifts with no complaints, and will be optimistic at all times! My cell phone number is 612-850-7333 and email is [email protected]! I hope to hear from you soon!

I am very interested being a part of the Bristol Bay Crew this upcoming season! I am an avid rock climber, mountain biker, and backpacker and love the outdoors. I have no experience on a boat but I am athletic and young and eager to learn. I have a great attitude and a lot of energy.

Dear Bristol Bay Captains,

I'm very interested in applying and working seasonally for a Bristol Bay-based gill-netting fishing boat. I have prior experience with gill-netting in the Kenai Peninsula in 2020. My job focused on catching (Red) Sockeye salmon using 200 mesh-deep gill-nets. Our crew used 16-ft boats (without the assistance of hydraulic rollers) to manage four sites per boat. Each site ranged from 200-ft to 1.5 miles off the beach. When our crew wasn't fishing we were busy with general maintenance projects including framing buildings, roofing, siding, fixing 1970s Ford F-150 trucks, filling 400 75-lb sandbags to establish new fishing sites, replacing old equipment implemented at current fishing sites, and repairing damaged netting.

I thoroughly enjoyed my fishing season last year, but I'm looking to make more money this year and join a highly motivated crew in the Bristol Bay area! Thank you for your time and consideration. I can be reached swiftly by phone Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at (970)-773-1453 or by email at any time at [email protected].

Sincerely,
Sam Jordan

Hello Bristol Bay, my name is Blake Stiewe. I am 18 years old from San Francisco. I’m interested in coming in green on a salmon boat for the 2021 season. I understand my place as a green guy, and I am willing to do whatever I’m needed for. I may not be experienced, but I am no stranger to hard work, long shifts, and dirty work. I am also not a stranger to boat life either and I like to fish and go crabbing in the bay area whenever I can. For my credentials, I have a job at a bakery where I work long hours. I am also trained in first aid and I am CPR/AED certified. I am an extremely driven worker, a team player, and most importantly, I use common sense. I understand that you are looking for a guy that has 1-2 years under his belt, but I promise if you take a chance on me you won’t regret it. Thanks! - Blake Stiewe
Other credentials:
Good cook
Tough and strong

Remote AK homesteader, father of 5, seeking a solid contract onboarding Bristol Bay bowpicker. Previous gillnetting experience in PWS. Looking for an ambitious captain who really wants to capitalize on the season. I can arrive on my own ticket, ready to fish under contract in the Port of your choosing on 48 hours notice.
Cheers !
